TEXT
There is a kind of oppression that affects over 27 million people world wide and it seems that most Americans act like it has ended. I'm talking about Slavery. Not in the sense of a metaphor, like being a slave to drugs. No I mean held hostage for labor without pay. It happens everywhere including places you wouldn't expect like Japan and here in the U.S. The link to this video gives a short and to the point explanation.
This one is very moving.
There is no doubt in my mind that we live in a world that has some serious problems like the one above. After learning about topics like slavery, I always wondered why I've never found this issue to be a topic of conversation. Do Americans not care, or are they still in a world where slavery is a thing of the past, like I was, before I picked up a book on the subject?
Slavery, of course, isn't the only downward spiral that society is taking. When I see gas prices today and hear about how much the average American is in debt it burns me up that the invention of a car that runs on compressed air has existed and been marketed for a year or two now. We still do not have it here in the U.S. or most of the world. I mean oil will become scarce and it is something that our society has grown dependant on.
Check out this video
Imagine that $1.75 for a tank of air at an air station, or even free at home. Less pollution in the city air, could drop the rates of disease and costly medical bills. Almost seems like a fix all solution. Just like the subject of slavery I feel like hardly any one knows about this subject.
Here's another one for ya.
I would gladly turn my own 2 year old Toyota into scrap just to start making payments on a 10 to 15 thousand dollar air or water powered car. This kind of thing should have been widely spread throughout the public a long time ago. Top part of page
TEXT The air and water car are something to keep in mind as we go on here, cause lets face facts.......population is growing, so demand for resources is growing. Not just coal and oil, but what about nice places to live, places where the air doesn't aggravate the lungs of children with asthma, or the schools aren't over crowded. When you think about it money and jobs are also resources. Space is a resource. I mean the more open space on the freeway the faster I get home from work. The less people trying to buy or rent spaces to live, the less expensive it is to visit or live in my favorite cities. Over population begets poverty and hardship (See second video below) poverty and hardship begets slavery, and a survival mode among people, which causes an "every man for himself" attitude. When population booms environmental concerns takes a back seat and we all lose. Some say the world is not over crowded yet, but I can assure anyone who has doubt on this subject that we are at least getting there fast. Watch this video.
Then watch this.

Now about that pesky global warming problem which is a more common topic of conversation. There are some talking points that you don't so often hear. For example you've heard about the destruction of the rain forest. When people burn down the rain forest for land to raise cattle, where does that beef end up?
If the average temperature of the earth rises by, just 5 degrees, the people of this planet will have a lot of problems on their hands. According to National Geographic just 1 degree brings about a lot of problems. 5 degrees is significant because it can also cause the release of stores of methane trapped within the earth which is predicted to cause the temperature to rise to a point where nothing will survive. Scientists speculate this by studying a time on our planet known as the Permian Mass Extinction.
Watch this video. Top part of page
TEXTOk. ok. So maybe you say that you have no belief in dinosaurs and or the Permian Extinction, and when the “Rapture” comes, God is just going to teleport you off this rock so carbon emissions and all this global warming stuff is nothing to worry about. Right? I'm sure however that we can all agree on what this next video is showing us.
Gas supports terror and countries that oppress many women, Christians, etc.. Plain and simple. We're all guilty here because our forefathers created a society dependant on oil. If all the Christians, Catholics, Mormons, J.W. etc. of this nation stood up and demanded alternative fuels now and didn't quit I'd bet we would have them. Supporting anti-terror measures, fighting against oppression, and doing some good for this world is often about where your money does not go.
Once again, "I want my air powered car!"
If you need a little more persuasion. This next video links illegal drugs and then gas to terror. Can't say I disagree with either point made in this next video.

Maybe you caught ABC's “Earth 2100” watch the videos below for this video which puts most of the worlds serious problems in a
nutshell.
I joined a Christian church about 9 months ago. The one thing about it I enjoyed most was praying with a group of people. Prayer was and is an important part of my life. I had to leave this church though, it seemed that some of the problems we have in the world today, like slavery, and everything else talked about so far, made the church that I went to seem like a house of ignorance and superstition more than a house of God.
I felt like I was wasting my time sitting around with a group of people who kept telling me things like, Hurricane Katrina was some how a result of all the sin coming out of New Orleans, or a lack prayer and belief in scriptures. Such notions are so medievil. I was taught in History class that foolish wars have been fought over one group or nation fearing that another group or nation is going to anger God and cause a natural disaster. This was hundreds of years ago. Shouldn't we move on from this kind of thinking? Why do we distract our minds from the obvious grotesque threats around us? Note the following video:
The church I am speaking of shall remain nameless, but it isn't the only one I have attended in my life. Many attributes that I am complaining about can be said about other churches as well. When it comes to faith I recommend that one keep in mind what faith really is as they decide what they have faith in. Listen to what I have to say.
When I was in church I saw how topics like slavery, global warming, over population, and supporting terror with our gas money take a back seat to so many ridiculous notions in my opinion. The church I am speaking of and many others seem more concerned about keeping children from reading "Harry Potter” because it's "witchcraft", why one should refrain from using swear words, teaching that one should never own a statue of the Virgin Mary, and other forms of "evil" idolatry, the battle against pop culture, the battle against the teaching of evolution, and fighting against equality for same sex couples. I feel that the most ridiculous topic within the church was that of all the other religions being certainly untrue in comparison to their own. To so many it is as if the world is coming to an end because the Catholics don't worship Jesus like the Pentecostals, or the Born Agains must be in league with Satan because they are not Mormon etc... Everyone believes they are right because they have seen wonders signs and miracles within their own faith. When it comes to wonders signs and miracles, I have heard such stories in just about any religion you can think of.
I can't help but notice in our world how truth seems to be manufactured when it comes to so many religions. For example if one were to take the "Word of Christ" and hold a service based on brotherly love he or she could use phrases like “And who ever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.”(Matthew Ch.5 V.41) “For if you forgive men in their trespasses, your heavenly father will also forgive you.” (Matthew Ch6 V14). “Love thy neighbor.”, “Turn the other cheek.”, and even the “Golden Rule” is in there. To later give a different message when it's time to support dropping bombs and shooting guns one can use a quote like “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.” (Matthew Ch.10 V.34). Lets not forget that there are lots of stories in the old testament about kicking some ass. So if you're congregation is in the mood for war or peace the Bible has got you covered. From what I hear the Koran has got you covered as well if you're going that route.
I've seen how manufacturing faith into "absolute truth" seems to put people against each other, and steals our focus from true oppression and destruction. How can we work together to fix our world when men and women are blinded towards the potential of others because of a difference in faith. Why spend so much time trying to convert each other when it is so easy to manufacture the truth. I once told a christian friend of mine that the bible states,
“Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.” (Matthew CH7 V 15, 16, 17).
I went on to explain that I've seen good fruit come from members of just about any religion you can think of. I have seen good in all kinds of people so how can anyone religion say that the other is wrong and they are right. My friend gave me a great explanation about seeing ”good fruit” come from what he would swear to be followers of “false prophecy.”
“Well Adam, the devil is cunning.” He said.
That's it!? Are we in this nation to continue with our ignorance and intolerance because every time something promotes what we
believe, we just shout out
“That's cause we're righteous!”
Then every time something promotes what someone else believes we just say,
”Must be that tricky devil.” or "In the end times evil will be called good and good will be called evil."
That's right if you see something as evil and hardly anyone seems to agree with you or your congregation then it must be the end times. Right? The social and scientific laws of the world, and the human carbon foot print must mean nothing to one who claims to know that all disastrous outcomes are the cause of things like the pro-choice movement, the gay rights movement, the teaching of evolution, and an overall gunky buildup of "sin" on the soul of the world. Anyone literally could manufacture any “truth” they want with the above arguments, and fight for it their whole life while the clock ticks away, and this speck of dust we call earth, teaming with life, floating through the dark vastness of space succumbs to its real conundrums and becomes nothing more than that.....A SPECK OF DUST IN THE DARKNESS!.
I personally have much faith that the next three videos back up the above talking points.
The conclusion to this next one illustrates how fear of not believing can help manufacture what one sees as truth.
If you don't agree, then at least watch this.
At times I'm sure faith helps people quit drug addiction and gives hope to the hopeless, so I don't believe that giving money to churches and supporting them is necessarily a bad thing. The world however could seriously make some headway in real world affairs and come away from distractions mentioned above if people would remember that faith is defined as a belief without evidence. With stories of blessings and hardship, among all beliefs and faiths, how could anyone show proof of their own faith being “The only faith”. If we all remembered that faith is not proven it would remove some of the pompous attitudes going around, and we could stop arguing about it and get down to business. More people would probably come to accept some faith in their lives this way and use it to motivate themselves daily. Top part of page

Though not the biggest issue facing the world, I need to come back to the pointless fight against homosexual rights. I mean, I look at my country and I see millions of people going to church and then getting in their cars, and getting 15 to 30 miles per oppressed christian without even thinking about where their gas money is going. Then the same people cannot get enough of trying to stomp out loving relationships among homosexuals, a repressed minority group, when there are bigger issues at stake.
